The UGC NET exam is conducted every year by the National Testing Agency (NTA). If you pass this exam the candidates can apply for the Junior Research Fellowship programs or join as an Assistant professor in the colleges and universities that are recognized under the University Grants Commission.

What Is The Eligibility Criterion For The Exam?
The students who have a master degree in Geography and want to continue doing further research about the subject or getting a job in one of the highly prestigious colleges and universities in India can give this exam. You can also give this exam if you have already completed your Ph.D. in Geography
The exam is conducted as a single paper that is divided into two parts- Paper-I and Paper-II. Paper-I is an MCQ based paper consisting of 50 questions from general aptitude. Paper-II is a geography paper with 100 questions. All the questions in both the papers are compulsory. The exam is conducted for 3-hour duration
